Symbiosis Society's Law College was established in 1977 and is now a constituent of the Symbiosis International University (Declared under Sec. 3 of the U.G.C Act, 1956 vide notification F.9-12/2001-U.3 of the Government of India)
Symbiosis Society's Law College is presently ranked fourth among the top ten law colleges in India. Its main strength lies in the pool of talent that it attracts from a broader spectrum around the world. It aims at providing an environment of 'home away from home' to students both from India and abroad.

We take personal care for all round development of the student both academically and professionally. Our idea is to groom the students for their future and this includes not only academics but personality development as well as professionalism so that they are geared up to meet the challenges of life and cope up with the intense competition as well as with the emerging trends and new vistas in the legal profession.

Within a span of 30 years we have set standards in the field of law and our students have created a benchmark.

» Eligibility
12th (10+2) in any stream or its equivalent with minimum 50 %. Students who have appeared for their H.S.C finals and awaiting for results are also eligible to apply subject to their passing it, in the same attempt.
 
» Programme profile for the postgraduate courses
Master of Laws (LL.M) - 2 Years
LL.M is a two years full-time course divided into four semesters. Admission to first year LL.M are made by the Admission Committee and Faculty of Law on the basis of interviews and the merits of the qualifying examination.

» Eligibility
Three Years/ Five years LL.B Degree from Indian or Foreign University recognised by the University Grants Commission with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade.
 
» Orientation and Methodology
Though the primary method of instruction is classroom lectures, we give a lot of emphasis on research and self-study. We also conduct several guest lectures, seminars, symposia where top professionals in the legal profession, academicians, judges and Lawyers are invited to speak on various contemporary issues so that our students get exposure to the real and diverse aspects of the profession. The classrooms are spacious, well equipped with latest technological amenities and great importance is given to the practical aspect of the theoretical foundation.
